Attorney Carcagno is originally from Michigan.  She attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Spanish.  It was through her studies in the intensive language program within the University (Residential College) and the time that spent studying abroad in Spain and Peru that she became fluent in Spanish. 

 

She personally went through the immigration process when she petitioned for her then-fiancé so that they could start their life together in the U.S.

 

Attorney Carcagno attended law school with the intent to practice immigration law upon graduation and becoming licensed to practice law.  ​While studying at the University of Illinois College of Law, Attorney Carcagno received the honor of serving as President of the Law School's Immigration Law Society after having previously served as the organization’s Fundraising and Outreach Chair.  One of her most memorable experiences in the Organization was going to a detention center and performing the intake interviews in Spanish for a non-profit organization.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law and passing the bar exam, Attorney Carcagno relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she spent a couple of years working for a large employment-based immigration law firm.  In 2017, Attorney Carcagno proudly opened the Law Offices of Rebecca Carcagno, PLLC to better assist clients with their U.S. immigration law needs.

​Attorney Carcagno knew that she wanted to focus her practice exclusively on immigration law because of her experiences throughout high school and college volunteering in the local Hispanic community along with her personal experience of going through the immigration process.  When she is not practicing immigration law, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing volleyball and tennis.
